Gaustatoppen and Rjukan
The iconic Gaustatoppen is Southern Norway's highest mountain and from it's top you are set to enjoy a view over one sixth of Norway! You will reach the top of Gaustatoppen by the iconic Gaustabanen, a furnicular built into the massiv of the mountain, lifting you 850m through a tunnel. Enjoy the splendid views from one of the many hiking routes for various levels or enjoy a thrilling bike ride through the expctacular countryside before visiting the unique small town of Rjukan located in a narrow valley, UNESCO listed for its unique industrial heritage.
Cruising the Telemark Canal
Take a day to explore Norway's beautiful Telemark Canal, which runs between the towns of Skien and Dalen. A historic boat ride will let you experience the peaceful and tranquil beauty of the canal and the surrounding landscape while you make your way through narrow channels and large lakes. Learn about the development and historic significance of the canal, one of Norway's longest waterways.
