Outdoor Adventures on Mount Etna
The slopes of Mount Etna offer the perfect setting for any outdoor adventure. Explore the stunning scenery around Mount Etna on small hikes, enjoy the views over large parts of Eastern Sicily and discover some of the bizarre geological formtions, including lava tubes and caves. A special highlight will be the ride on the ancient Circumetnea train around Mount Etna, where you will pass through ancient foothill villages, old deserted stations, towns, orchards and vineyards, fields of pistachio nuts and prickly pears, as well as expanses of lava rock.
Water-fun and outdoor Adventures
The Alcantara Gorge is one of Sicily's most beautiful gorges set in a wild area. The waters from Mount Etna carved their way into the black rock over thousands of years and created a wonderful natural water playground, which is best to be explored on a canyoning or body-surfing adventure.
Explore the crystal clear waters along the Sicilian coast from Ortigia Island in Syracuse and discover a rugged coastline, caves and a colourful underwater world on a combined sailing and snorkeling adventure.
The ancient Towns of Taormina and Syracuse

Visit the Greek theatre or venture off on a sea kayaking tour around the beautiful Isola Bella at the foot of the clifftop town.
Syracuse is one of Sicily's oldest town and its turbulent and ancient history shows in the old town of Ortigia Island and the ancient Roman and Greek amphi-theatres. Set off to the UNESCO listed Necropolis of Pantalica West of Syracuse to discover the pre-historic rock chamber tombs.
