Highlights of the Golden Circle
Follow along the famous Golden Circle route, holding some of Iceland's most fascinating natural wonders along the way. You will visit the Þingvellir National Park, home to Iceland's ever first parliament, where you will have some time to enjoy the stunning nature and stroll in the tectonic rift between the Eurasian and American tectonic plates! Admire the geothermal power of the always active geysers at Geysir, spitting hot water fountains into the air every couple of minutes, before heading on to the powerful Gulfoss Waterfall, thundering into a narrow canyon over two stages. You will finish the day with a relaxing swim in the naturally heated geothermal waters of the Secret Lagoon, one of Iceland's oldest natural swimming pool.
Whale Watching Tour
A small cruise tour will take you to the waters outside Reykjavik, to safely encounter a variety of whales native to the waters around Iceland. Depending on the season, you might meet Humpback whales, Minke whales, Porpoises and Dolphins in their natural habitat.
April to October are the best months to spot a large variety of whales in the waters around Iceland.
Iceland's Volcanic Heritage
A very special adventure is waiting for you as you will descend into the inside of an extinct Icelandic volcano through an empty vent! A guided tour will take you to the outskirts of ÞrÃhnúkagÃgur volcano, which has been dormant for over 4,000 years. After a hike to the top of the volcano, you will descend into the crater in an open cable car to admire the amazing colours and the enormous space found inside the volcano. You will be welcomed back to the surface with a hearty traditional Icelandic meat soup.
Discover Reykjavik
Reykjavik is a great place to visit with the family and the relatively small size makes it easy to see different areas of Iceland's capital in just a few days. Rent a bike and cycle along the different neighbourhoods or along the coast, visit the Grandi fishing district with it's many innovative museums and small hip restaurants.
