With it's decadent palaces, opulent villas and extravagant castles, it is a must visit for anybody visiting Lisbon and it's also a magical playground for kids! Sintra is not only a place of great history and fantastic architecture, but you will also hear about the legends and myths surrounding Sintra and learn about the artists and writers who all left their marks on this fabulous place.
Cycling tour to Belem
Our family-friendly cycling tour will take you along the banks of the Taro river all the way out to the historic Belem quarter, home to the UNESCO listed Belem tower and the Jeronimos Monastery. Start at Parque Eduardo VII near El Corte Inglês and you will cycle on perfectly flat ground through Praça Marquês do Pombal, Restauradores, Rossio, Praça da Figueira, Praça do Comércio and the Docas Area before reaching the Belem area, the starting point for many of the marine expeditions during Portugal's Golden Age of Discovery.
