The area around Porto Moniz in the Northwest of Madeira offers some of the most scenic landscapes on the island with some spectacular viewpoints waiting for you to be enjoyed. The small town itself is characterized by fishing and you will find cafes and restaurants serving local products around Porto Moniz. The highlight of the day will of course be a visit to the wonderful natural lava pools that formed between the cliffs and the Atlantic ocean on the black volcanic rock.
