The medieval village is often described as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and came to fame as one of the filming locations of the godfather movies. A very special tour will take you through the village to visit churches, catacombs and ancient ruins on the back of a donkey! The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy in Taormina. Overnight in Taormina.

DAY 3 - BODY RAFTING IN THE ALCANTARA GORGE (B)

The Alcantara River is one of the few rivers on Sicily that runs all year round and has carved its path into the basalt over a period of several thousands of years. Enjoy a few hours of canyoning along the gorge, jumping off the rocks into the cold, crystal-clear waters and floating in the rivers rapids between the 24m high basalt walls. The difficulty level can be adjusted to the children's age and capability. Overnight in Taormina.

DAY 4 - FREE DAY IN TAORMINA (B)

You have the day to stroll through the beautiful historic streets of Taormina shaped by the Greek, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Spanish. Visit the Greek Theatre carved into the hillside offering fantastic views over the surrounding areas, enjoy Sicilian gastronomy at the Piazzas and relax at the beautiful beaches below Taormina. We can also look after arranging other activities, such as sea kayaking or snorkeling for the day on request. Overnight in Taormina.

Dominating the Eastern side of Sicily, Mount Etna is Europe's largest volcano, with several vast craters and a height of 3,300m. Ortigia Island is the oldest part of Syracuses and it's a bustling mix of temples, churches, museums, piazzas, bars and shops.
