The wild and misty mountains of Scotland's Highlands offer a great playground for activities for the whole family. Take a ride on the famous Jacobite steam-train through the stunning scenery of the Western coast, canoe along the beautiful Caledonian Canal and go treasure hunting in Britain's biggest National Park. This adventure offers the perfect time-out for the whole family.
DAY 1 - WELCOME TO SCOTLAND
Pick up your car from the airport and make your way to Fort William. You have the rest of the day free to spend in Fort William. Overnight in Fort William.
DAY 2 – A RIDE ON THE JACOBITE STEAM TRAIN (B)
A journey on the legendary steam train that featured in the Harry Potter movies will take you along glens, lochs and the famous Glenfinnan viaduct in the Western Highlands. Enjoy a stop at the seaside village of Mallaig before returning to Fort William. Overnight in Fort William.
DAY 3 - SEA KAYAKING ON THE WESTERN SHORES (B)
Explore the calm waters and the many tiny islands on the Loch nan Ceall off the Western Scottish coast on a sea-kayaking adventure. The area is full of marine life and you might be able to spot some otters, seals and even dolphins. Overnight in Fort William.
DAY 4 - CANOEING AND MOUNTAIN-BIKING IN THE GREAT GLEN (B)
Take in the beautiful Highlands scenery of the Great Glen while following the Great Caldonian Route in a canoe. Make your way back to Fort William riding along the canal on a mountain bike. Overnight in Fort William.
DAY 5 - MOUNTAIN-BIKING IN CAIRNGORMS NATIONAL PARK (B)
Leave Fort William behind and make your way to the Cairngorms National Park. Visit a Whisky Distillery or try one of the many walking opportunities en route. Explore Cairngorms National Park on a guided mountain-biking tour through ancient Caledonian pine forests at Rothiemurchus Estate, a great place for wildlife spotting, and you might see some deer, ospreys or golden eagles. Overnight in the Cairngorms area.
DAY 6 - GEOCACHING AND HIKING IN CAIRNGORMS NATIONAL PARK (B)
After gathering different clues along the route and using some basic navigation skills, you will venture off into the National Park today to find a hidden treasure! Overnight in the Cairngorms area.
DAY 7 - DEPARTURE (B)
Make your way to the airport and departure.
