The Lofoten are a hiking paradise and have trails to offer for everybody – from easy soft trails and longer mountain trails to steep and demanding ascents – there is plenty of choice within a the small area. And one thing is for sure, you will be rewarded with fantastic views over the sea, the mountains and the colourful villages.
DAY 1 - WELCOME TO STAMSUND (D)
Transfer from the airport to your apartment in Stamsund overlooking the pier and the beautiful rugged bay. Dinner and overnight in Stamsund.
DAY 2 – DJEVELPORTEN AND FLOYA (B, D)
Take on the Floya peak on the Eastern Lofoten, pass by the "Devil’s Gate” (Djevelporten), a rock jammed into the mountain, and enjoy fantastic views over the neighboring Eastern islands from the Floya summit (medium, ↑ 560m, 3,4km, 4 hrs). Dinner and overnight in Stamsund.
DAY 3 - OFFERSOYKAMMEN - FISHING TRIP (B, D)
Ascent to Offersoykammen, located 436m above sea level and overlooking the sea and islands. It is a steep ascent to the summit, but you will be rewarded with the magnificent views over the fjords, white beaches and small villages. (medium, ↑ 450m, 2,7 km, 2 hrs)
Return to Stamsund in the afternoon, where you will venture off on a fishing trip for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Stamsund.
DAY 4 - REINEBRINGEN - REINE (B, D)
Today you will climb one of Lofotens most popular peaks – Reinebringen, overlooking the beautiful town of Reine. The ascent is short, but steep, so this trail requires a good level of fitness (demanding, ↑ 420m, 1,5km, 3 hrs). Visit the small fishing village of Reine in the afternoon, beautifully nestled between the majestic Lofoten peaks and the Arctic Ocean. Explore the town and relax in one of the local cafés and restaurants. Dinner and overnight in Stamsund.
DAY 5 - KVALVIKA BEACH - RYTEN (B, D)
The beautiful Kvalvika beach nestled between the mountains is one of the most popular hiking spots on the Lofoten. You will walk along the mountain side and you will pass along lakes and rocky areas before descending to the beach or taking the path up to Ryten, from where you will be able to enjoy the best views of Kvalvika beach (medium, ↑ 550m, 7,9km, 3,5 hrs). Dinner and overnight in Stamsund.
DAY 6 - FESTVAGTIND - HENNINGSVAER (B, D)
You will tackle the 530m peak of Festvagtind today, one of Lofotens most stunning hikes that rises directly from the sea on the Southern coast. The ascent along the way will be gradual while the path wraps itself around the mountain. Your efforts will be rewarded with beautiful views to the South over Henningsvær, a small town that is spread over several small islands (medium, ↑ 530m, 2,9km, 3 hrs). Spend some time to explore the picturesque fishing village Henningsvær before returning to Stamsund to embark on a RIB boat sea eagle safari. Dinner and overnight in Stamsund,
DAY 7 - DEPARTURE (B)
Transfer to the airport and departure.
