Our activity and fun-filled itinerary takes you to the beautiful West Coast of Ireland along the iconic Wild Atlantic Way and you will experience ancient history, breath-taking nature and national parks while staying in cosy hotels and guesthouses and enjoy precious time with the ones closest to you.

TOUR DETAILS

DAY 1 - WELCOME TO IRELAND

Welcome to Ireland. Transfer to Co. Clare on Ireland's West coast, where you will have free time for the rest of the day. Overnight in Co. Clare.

DAY 2 - COASTEERING - BUNRATTY CASTLE (B, D)

You will start the day with a refreshing coasteering adventure in South County Clare. On this fun activity for the full family you will truly experience the beautiful rugged coastline while climbing rocks, abseiling, jumping into and swimming in the fresh waters of the Atlantic ocean. Dive into Irish history in the afternoon, when you will visit the impressive Bunratty Castle and learn about the history of the largest Anglo-Norman castle in Ireland. The adjoining folk-park will give you an authentic insight of what rural life looked like in Ireland in the 19th century. Enjoy a a medieval feast at the castle in the evening when you will enjoy a banquet style traditional dinner with music and dance in the ancient halls of the castle. Overnight in Co. Clare.

DAY 3 - SURFING - CLIFFS OF MOHER (B)

Due to its Atlantic exposure and geological formation, the West coast of Ireland is a popular surfing spot and attracts professional surfers from all around the world. You will learn what is all about in a surfing lesson along the gentle shores and calm waters of Lahinch beach where you will learn the basics of surfing before taking to the water. A truly refreshing and energizing experience. Visit the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher in the afternoon, the impressive sea cliffs stretching over a few kilometers along the coast and plunging over 200m into the Atlantic ocean. Enjoy the fabulous views and breath in some fresh Atlantic air as you follow along the cliff walk. Overnight in Co. Clare.

DAY 4 - BURREN - IRISH CHOCOLATES - GALWAY CITY (B, L)

Explore the unique Burren National Park today, a vast moon-like region where you will find caves, unique geological  formations and rare plants and flowers. Due to its rich heritage and the efforts of the local community, the Burren area has been developed as an eco-tourism area over the past years and you will learn more about the Burren's formation, geology and history on a guided walking or cycling tour. After enjoying a delicious local lunch, you will visit a small local chocolate factory, where you will learn about the art of Irish craft chocolates and how the humble cocoa bean is turned into delicious chocolate treats. Continue to Galway city, the buzzing town known for it's wealth of art, traditional music and lively atmosphere. Overnight in Galway.

DAY 5 - ARAN ISLANDS (B)

Board the ferry in the morning to visit the island of Inis Man, the largest of the three Aran islands in the Galway Bay. You will have the day to explore the beautiful, authentic island by bike. Visit the ancient Dun Aengus fort towering over the steep sea cliffs and enjoy the laid back and relaxed atmosphere while enjoying the fantastic views over the islands and the Wild Atlantic ocean. Overnight in Connemara.

DAY 6 - SEA KAYAKING - CONNEMARA NATIONAL PARK (B)

You will take to the waters once more in the morning, this time on a kayaking adventure taking you along the beautiful shoreline of Mannin Bay, where you will discover sandy beaches and marine life in the crystal clear waters before paying a visit to the local seal colony in the bay. Venture off to the Connemara National Park in the afternoon, where you will learn about the formation, history and flora and fauna of the region. Several hiking routes will take you around the park and you will get to enjoy spectacular views on the National Park, the Twelve Bens and the Atlantic coastline. Overnight in Connemara.

 

DAY 8 - DEPARTURE

Transfer to the airport and departure.

DAY 7 - SHEEP DOG EXPERIENCE - BEACH HORSE RIDING (B)

Connemara is famous for its large sheep population and this morning you will visit a local sheep farm, where you will learn about the art and tradition of sheep herding as a local farmer and his loyal sheep dog will show you how to lead the sheep across the fields. Learn more about local farming traditions as you will try your hand on bog-cutting and you are welcome to lend a hand with bottle-feeding the lambs. Enjoy a true adventure in afternoon as you will enjoy a guided horse riding tour along the beautiful sandy beaches of Connemara. Overnight in Connemara.
